First Cavalier Cement Jockey Pour

Cavalier Unveiling
Front View of Mold
Asbury, NEW JERSEY – March 12, 2012 – Show Your Colors proudly unveiled their first cement cavalier jockey on March 8, 2012 at their manufacturing site in Pennsylvania.  Show Your Colors has been painting “jocko” lawn jockeys since the spring of 2011, with a concentration on custom logos and thoroughbred racing colors.  As many client requests came in for the “Cavalier” style, they started to search for an aluminum mold.  Approximately a year later, that mold was finally secured on Monday, March 5, 2012, purchased from a private vender out of Old Bridge, NJ.  The very next day that mold was filled with its first batch of cement, with many more to follow.  After curing for two days, the cast aluminum pieces were carefully removed revealing the first Show Your Colors Cavalier Jockey.

NEWBORN!
Slow and Steady Process
“Cavalier” lawn jockeys are approximately 44 inches tall, standing atop a 14-inch pedestal.  Once this first one is fully dry, Show Your Colors will determine the approximate weight.  Original lawn jockeys were made of iron and weighed between 300 and 400 lbs with the functional use of securing a horse.  Today they need not hold a horse but represent popular lawn ornaments, and a common showcase for the thoroughbred racing community to show their colors.  At Show Your Colors, our in-house artist can depict your colors making a great lasing impression onto a lawn jockey.  Choose your favorite team, your company logo, your racing silks, or simply your favorite colors and we’ll commemorate it onto your choice of jockey styles.  Contact us at mail_syc@yahoo.com for more information.
